Nanocrystals for Drug Delivery and Enhanced Bioavailability
Poor solubility of pharmaceutical drugs aqueous media is a problem plaguing drug development and effective therapy. Particle size reduction is a widely used method to enhance the solubility of such drugs. Formulating with polymers, lipids and other excipients can also enhance solubility. We are interested in the bottom up approach to synthesise nano crystals and nano formulate drugs having poor aqueous solubility to enhance their solubility. Our current focus is to develop continuous production of such nanocrystals using flow chemistry approaches.
