Synthesis of Nanostructured Materials
Our primary research interest is in the preparation of nano structured materials using novel methods. We are primarily interested in the development of nano structures using 'swollen liquid crystals' as 'soft' templates. These are lyotropic liquid crystals that are formed by the self-assembly of surfactants having tunable aspects. We are also interested in the development of methods for the continuous production of nanomaterials using flow chemistry approach.
We explore the application of the prepared nano materials mainly in heterogeneous catalysis and sensing.
